As a guide, carpet is usually dry enough to walk on within a few hours, and fully dry overnight with good airflow. It's not a promise — drying depends on the fibre, how heavy the soiling was, ventilation and the weather. We extract as much moisture as we can, set up airflow before we leave, and time the clean so your carpet is ready well before you next open.

We treat and greatly improve most marks — coffee, food, drink spills and general traffic grime respond well to targeted spot treatment matched to the stain and fibre. Many lift completely. But we'll be straight with you: some won't. Dye and ink marks, bleach damage and old set-in stains that have sat for years may only lighten, or may be permanent. We'll tell you what we expect before we start rather than over-promise.

It comes down to foot traffic. Busy offices, receptions, retail floors and hospitality venues generally do best quarterly, most everyday workplaces are well served every six months, and quiet, low-use suites can often stretch to once a year. Regular cleaning keeps carpet hygienic, helps satisfy warranty conditions and delays replacement. We're happy to recommend a realistic schedule for your site.

Hot-water extraction is the method most commercial carpet manufacturers recommend, and it suits the great majority of nylon, polypropylene and wool-blend commercial carpet. That said, fibre matters — wool and some natural fibres need gentler solutions and more careful moisture control. We identify the fibre and backing at the pre-inspection and adjust the approach to suit, so nothing gets over-wet or damaged.

We shift lighter items — chairs, bins, small tables — where it's safe and practical, and clean underneath them. Heavy desks, filing cabinets, shelving and anything with electronics or fragile contents we work around rather than risk damage. If you'd like everything cleaned wall to wall, the easiest option is to have the space cleared beforehand, and we'll time the visit to suit.
